Middle school cheerleading, academic teams winners named

Auburn won the cheerleading championship during the recent Logan County Middle School Basketball Tournament while tying with Adairville for the county academic team championship.
Olmstead finished third among academic teams while Lewisburg was runner-up and Olmstead third among the cheerleader teams.
Since Chandlers won the boys basketball championship, all five schools in the county system were among the honorees on the final night of the tournament. Olmstead was boys basketball runner-up.
Lewisburg won the girls basketball championship with Auburn second.

Auburn Principal David Ward has informed The LoJo of the success of the school's academic in further competition:
The Quick Recall team placed second overall in District Competition at Moss Middle School, and the following students placed in Written Assessment:
Bree Wilson: 5th place in Language Arts
Molly Bell: 3rd place in Arts & Humanities
Ben Wright: 2rd place in Social Studies
Will Hughes: 2nd place in Social Studies
Zach Miller: 4th place in Science
Kayla Hazel: 2nd place in Composition
Hannah Crawford: 1st place in Composition

Ward adds, "Hannah Crawford placed fifth in Composition at regional competition. She will be going to state competition in March."
