August's Artist of the Month comes with bittersweet news. Jennie Fyhr DiBeneditto grew up in Russellville and, after high school graduation, moved to Louisville to attend U of L, intending to earn a degree in civil engineering. Somehow she ended up in the art department and graduated with a degree in ceramics and business management.
Jennie is known for her beautiful clay works and has been a been a popular artist at Kentucky Artisans at the Saddle Factory since its creation. The time has come to celebrate Jennie's artistic ability but also to say goodbye to her as she embraces her creative dreams! In addition to being an artist, Jennie has opened Silica Ceramic Studio and Gadabout Gallery and Artisan Shoppe in Jeffersonville, Ind.! If you are ever in Louisville, hop across the state line and see what awesome things Jennie and her friends are up to at these two locations!
