The Beta Delta Chapter of Phi Upsilon Omicron Chapter National Honor Society for Family and Consumer Sciences was well represented at the National Biennial Meeting in Boise, Idaho, September 25-27. Co-Presidents Caitlynn Oberhausen and Aaron Armstrong (both Dietetics Majors) represented the collegiate chapter, and Dr. Martha C. Jenkins, FACS Professor Emerita and Retiring Professional Project Advisor, represented the Alumni Chapter.
Oberhausen is a graduate of Logan County High School.
Dr. Jenkins was also the recipient of the 2014 Bachtel-Holbrook National Collegiate Advisor Award. Cindy Jones, FACS instructor and chapter advisor, also represented the Beta Delta Chapter well, serving as Financeiaon.
Melissa Martin, Beta Delta alum, has just been appointed Executive Director of Phi Upsilon Omicron.
The Beta Delta collegiate chapter received the first place Professional Project Award for 2013 and the third place Award for 2014. The chapter has received awards from the national organization for professional projects in 15 of the last 17 years--five of those being first place awards.
