Recently, the top ten GPA sophomore students from Russellville High School participated in a two-day event sponsored by APES (American Private Enterprise System) through the Logan County Extension Office.

They were invited to tour Gerald Printing and the Logan County Airport, listened to six separate speakers, and took six tests.

The student with the highest test score is granted a $250 scholarship to the college of their choice. This is funded by the University of Kentucky. This year the RHS recipient is Ashley Young! This summer Ashley will be attending the Kentucky Youth Seminar, June 17-19, at the UK campus where she could possibly be eligible to win up to $5,000 in scholarships.

The 10 students participating were Tara Gilbert, Micah Naylor, Bryan Ison, Brennan Hughes, Sam Cundiff, Caitlyn Smith, Loreal Cheaney, Shayla Oberhausen, Madison Rose, and scholarship winner) Ashley Young.
