Over 130 students, 25 parent volunteers, and 10 faculty and staff members from Chandlers Middle School traveled to Louisville to visit the Kentucky State Fair Friday, Aug. 21. The fair offered many learning opportunities including the “Tour of Counties,” an exhibit featuring the Magna Carta, a working farm, voting booths, and hundreds of competitive entries.

Chandlers eighth grader Alex Walpole, whose 4-H wood science entry received a blue award, was proud to share his accomplishments with his friends and classmates.

The middle school students also enjoyed FMX and magic shows as they gained a better perception of the state in which we live, while also making connections that could benefit them in their future endeavors as citizens of our state.
