Chandlers School receives TVA grant again

Chandlers School recently received a check for $1,000 from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).  These funds are the result of a partnership between TVA and local schools to increase student interest in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.  TVA representative Adam Walker visited the school to present the award.

Last year, these funds were used to purchase supplies for the Bionic Bears, a robotics team that competed at Rupp Arena. Chandlers also used the funding to host a Girls’ STEM Day to educate female students about career opportunities in science fields.

The school staff is grateful for opportunities that this partnership provides for students.
