The Logan County High School Cheerleaders have qualified to compete in the national tournament.

The girls competed in Lexington on Nov. 12 at the UCA Bluegrass Championships. They received a score from the judges that was high enough to qualify them for the National High School Cheerleading Championship at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. on February 11-12.

“The girls will be fund raising and working extremely hard to go to nationals in February,” says Coach Jessie Creech, a former LCHS cheerleader who teaches at Chandlers Elementary School.

Members of the squad are Jordan Hall, Jewel Dowlen, Alyssa Gilliam, Tiara Boisseau, Tyra Boisseau, Mikayla Strode, Jillian Long, Allyah Townsend, Cora Brooks, Rylee Warden, Hope Dodson, Ginny Edwards, Sam Vaughn, Braiden Baptiste, Lexi Chick, Aerius Biggs, Kile Todd, Monica Hines, Cassidy Jernigan, Leah Goodwin and Emily Travis.
