This week the Logan County FFA chapter celebrates National FFA Week. National FFA Week is a chance for chapters all over the nation to honor the influence and importance of agriculture in our home and communities. This week, Logan County FFA members seek to do the same in their home chapter by holding various FFA week activities. The week’s schedule is packed with lots of fun and culminates with the long anticipated officer elections.

FFA Week kicked off with the celebration of Presidents’ Day on Monday. Tuesday was the annual Chili Cook-Off. Members also had the chance to compete in cornhole and ping pong tournaments.

On Wednesday, FFA members will dress up in their most patriotic ensembles for America Day.

Officer elections will be held on Thursday, and breakfast will be served in the Ag Shop Friday morning.

The Logan County FFA chapter is excited for the week ahead! Advisors and Senior Officers alike are looking forward to watching the next group of students lead and carry on the FFA legacy.

Through it all, the agriculture program works to create responsible and dedicated future leaders that embody integrity, character, and a good work ethic. Logan County FFA would like to thank all those who support them in this mission.

National Convention

The 89th National Convention was a historical event for the FFA. As downtown Indianapolis was transformed into all-things-FFA for the first time in five years, a record-setting 63,000 FFA members filed in. Members all the way from Alaska to Puerto Rico and Maine to Hawaii made their way to the biggest FFA event of the year.

In a sea of corduroy-clad FFA members, 25 students represented the Logan County FFA Chapter. Their time at the convention would yield valuable knowledge and memories that will last a lifetime.

Shown in the photo from the convention are Rachel Taylor, Ann-Meguiar Bouldin, Jessalyn Robey, Kaitlyn Norris, Maggie Hayes, Jessie Collins, David Coleman, Jack Wright, Blake Taylor, Andrew Milam, Maleea Reno, Paige Brown, Kate Malott, Presley Harris, Zach Brinkley, Kennedy Campbell, Jill Baldwin, Caroline Baker, Claire Wilson, Evan Hughes, Zach Milam, DJ Price, Luke Davenport, and Jacob Haley.
