Dale Vowell, general manager/superintendent at Russellville Electric Plant Board, was recently awarded the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association’s Advanced Certified Power Executive (AdvCPE) designation.
Before a packed Honors Luncheon crowd at TVPPA’s 71st Annual Conference, held during May in Savannah, Ga., Vowell received his AdvCPE certificate from TVPPA Business Development Manager Jim Wyche.
“These awards are significant because a high percentage of current and former TVPPA-member managers and CEOs earned the Advanced CPE,” Wyche said. “So it’s far from a stretch to say that Advanced CPE recipients are the future leaders of our Association and our industry generally in the Valley.”
TVPPA’s AdvCPE is designed to build on the skills and knowledge gained by graduates of TVPPA’s Certified Power Executive (CPE) curriculum. Included in the AdvCPE program are formalized professional development, management concepts and business principles.
