Logan County Health Department representative Kathy Thweatt and her sidekick “Chomper” visited Stevenson Elementary Early Childhood classrooms March 7.
After interactive discussions about the importance of teeth and gums, foods that cause decay, foods that are good for teeth, and what to expect when going to the dentist, Kathy and “Chomper” worked together to demonstrate proper brushing techniques.
After providing each student with a toothbrush to take home, Kathy allowed the students to practice proper brushing techniques with the assistance of “Chomper” and his extra-large toothbrush.
