April is National Child Abuse Month. However, every day here in Logan County, there are children living in deplorable conditions, which is just one example of the child neglect and abuse occurring daily.
One simple way to address this tragedy is to provide cleaning supplies and lice treatment products to the parent(s) or custodian(s) of the children to help them address these conditions. Sadly, in many situations the parent(s) or custodian(s) simply do not have the resources to properly clean the house or to treat their children for lice.
During April, Logan Countians can donate cleaning supplies and lice treatment products at the local office for the Department of Community Based Services or at the Kerr Law Office, 568 E 4th Street, Russellville.
