Winners announced in Festival pet show

Tuesday, Oct. 9, featured the annual Tobacco & Heritage Festival Blessing of the Animals and Pet Show. With 24 entries total, the night was full of sitting, staying, and maybe a little barking. Owners were happy to show their pets in the Parade of Animals followed by judging in several categories.

Winners in each category were announced as they were judged.

 Adult Presenters category winners were:

Smallest – Jay Cuddles

Largest – Knox

“Other” Smallest – Honey Bun

Nicest Coat – 3rd place Sue; 2nd place Chewy, and 1st place Chancellor

Healthiest Appearance – 3rd place Schochoh; 2nd place Sue; 1st place Knox

Costume Contest – 3rd place Max; 2nd place Jay Cuddles; 1st place Granny Gray

Youth Presenters category winners were:

Smallest – Auburn

Largest – Bandit

Nicest Coat – 3rd place Precious; 2nd place Rocky J; 1st place Daisy May

Healthiest Appearance – 3rd place Princess; 2nd place Sampson; 1st place Bandit

And finally, Best in Show:

Adult Presenters – Sue with presenter Bobby Blackford

Youth Presenters – Daisy May with presenter RaeAnn Whitley

Other category – Honey Bun with presenter Shirley Grice
