Logan County FFA competes at regional

The Logan County FFA traveled to Glasgow, Kentucky WKU campus to compete in the Spring Regional Contest. There were 17 members who prepared for the speaking contest, 4 members preparing for Record Keeping, and 1 member for the Quiz Contest.

The following students placed in their area and have the opportunity to advance to State Convention in June:

Rachel Taylor: 2nd in Extemporaneous

Micah Page: 1st in Agriculture Mechanics Impromptu

Abby Canler: 2nd in Dairy Impromptu

Caroline Davenport: 1st in Floral Impromptu

Briley Robinson: 1st in Goat/Sheep Impromptu

Madeline Reno: 2nd in Greenhouse Impromptu

Gracie Wharton: 2nd in Nursery and Landscape Impromptu

Ashlyn Tracy: 1st in Small Animal Impromptu

Hayley Hallman: 2nd in Turf and Lawn Care Impromptu

Kaylan Vaughn competed in the Creed speaking contest and placed 3rd out of 13 chapters present.

Madelyn Hughes competed in the Quiz Bowl contest and received 2nd place.

The Senior Officer team consisting of Zach Milam, Rachel Taylor, Hannah Price, Caroline Davenport, Ashlyn Tracy, Hayley Hallman, and Micah Page, competed in Chapter Meeting Contest and received a Superior rating.

The following members received Superior rating for their speeches that they had given.

Lindsey Brinkley: Prepared Public Speaking

Hannah Price: Fruit and Vegetable Impromptu

Jailyn Campbell: Horse Impromptu

Preston Hurt: Poultry Impromptu

Zach Milam: Swine Impromptu

The Record Keeping team consisted of Ethan Jenkins, Mallory McGee, Gracie Snoddy, and Gracee  Spears and will receive their scores in a few weeks.

Congratulations to the individuals who will advance to State Convention and those who represented our chapter well.
