The Logan County High School chapter of the National FFA Organization held its annual Greenhand ceremony on May 10 at the high school. The Greenhand ceremony requires first year members to satisfactorily demonstrate an understanding of FFA history, the FFA Creed, FFA Mission statement, motto, salute, and the FFA Code of Ethics.
At the ceremony’s close, participants were given their FFA Greenhand pins and refreshments were made available.
This year’s Greenhand recipients were as follows: Marlee Allen, Bryson Beal, Bailey Bird, Dustin Blake, Allie Bobbett, Wilson Boggess, Addie Corder, Brayden Cropper, Jace Cross, Katie Crump, Noah Deberry, Cole Fields, Avery Fuller, Jacob Henderson, Bridget Holman, Laine Hood, Carlie Hunt, Alyssa Kennedy, Kaylee Kinnison, Victoria Knight, Dakota McDowell, Hannah McGinnis, Jalah Melton, Courtney Rainwaters, Anna Silvey, Savannah Skipworth, Nicky Smith, Clacy White, and Katherine Woodward.
FFA is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. The LCHS FFA chapter is sponsored by Mr. Bryan Estes and Mr. Jay Campbell.
