Each year, Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) recognizes Faculty and Staff that demonstrate exemplary work ethic, extraordinary impact and a positive connection with students and colleagues at SKYCTC though their Awards of Excellence. These awards are presented to individuals in the categories of outstanding support staff member, administrative staff member and faculty member at SKYCTC.

Individuals are nominated by their peers, and winners are selected by a committee of faculty and staff representatives. This year’s winners are: Sharon Gibson for Support Staff, Chad Lindsey for Administrative Staff, and Kevin Kenady for Faculty.

Kenady, who gave up his role as Dean of Math & Science to go back to the classroom, is a former math teacher at Russellville High School.

Kenady, recipient of the Faculty Award of Excellence, serves as a Professor of Mathematics at SKYCTC’s Franklin Simpson Center. He was director of the Franklin campus before beginning a lengthy tenure as dean over match and science professors and instructors at all six SKYCTC campuses.

Gibson, recipient of the Support Staff Award of Excellence, currently serves as Administrative Assistant in the Human Resources Department at the College.

Lindsey, recipient of the Administrative Staff Award of Excellence, serves as Workforce Training Specialist in the Workforce Solutions Division at SKYCTC.

Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College congratulates this year’s Award of Excellence recipients.
