The Allen County-Scottsville High School baseball program will be hosting the first Twilight Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk/Fun Run on Saturday, Nov. 22 on the campus of Allen County Schools. The event will start at 5 that afternoon.
Plans call for all participants to have glow bands which will help the runners navigate the course. Workers will be stationed around the course to guide the participants toward the finish line---home plate on the high school baseball field. The run starts at the high school athletic complex. Runners can pick up their pre-race packets at 4:30 on Nov. 22 at the athletic complex.
The cost to participate is based on registration dates. Participants who sign up by Monday, Nov. 17 will be charged $20. Registration after November 17 or on race day will be $25. Participants may register up to 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 22. Discounts will be available to families with multiple members participating in the event.
Awards will be presented to the overall male and female finishers and the top finishers in designated age brackets. The awards will be presented at the conclusion of the event at the Patriot Athletic Complex on the ACSHS campus.
