We sincerely appreciate each of you for helping reach the goal in making the 24th Annual Commemorative MLK Unity Walk in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. a success. The walk, which started from Bank Street AME Zion Church along followed by the forum held at the Logan County Courthouse on Friday morning, Jan. 15, was historical, informative and educational for the students.
We extend a special thanks to Secretary J Michael Brown of the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet of Kentucky for honoring us with his presence to speak and facilitate our panel discussion on “Dr. King’s Influence on the Legal System” with emphasis on our youth. We also thank Rev. Lee Fishback, pastor of Mt. Herman Baptist Church, and Circuit Judge Tyler Gill for their participation.
We are honored to be among strong, positive, knowledgeable and wise leaders who present the true interpretation of history.
We appreciate the combined effort of all who came together, including the Logan County High School, Russellville High School, panelists, city/government officials, leaders, community, law enforcement officers, media and education systems to make this 2010 celebration of remembrance a success.
Thank you for keeping the dream alive.
An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualist concerns
to the broader concerns of all humanity.” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
