Russellville Independent Schools held its final “Little Panther Academy” at the Logan County Public Library on Friday, April 28, from 10-11:30 a.m. Preschool Director Linda Shelton shared she was very pleased with the attendance of the children and families throughout this semester. There were 31 total children from newborn to 3 years, and 16 adults!

The children enjoyed planned activities that included musikgarten, storytelling, make-it & take-it activities, and crafts.

The purpose for having the Little Panther Academy was to teach parents to become “teachers” of their children, to provide families with resources and information to help their children become “School Ready” and to learn some of the necessary developmental skills children need in order to be successful.

Each child was presented with a new book to take home!  It has been a great first semester, and we already look forward to next year!
