The Russellville High School Panther Band placed fourth out of 10 bands Saturday at the KMEA Regional Competition hosted by Warren East High School.

The band will be going to KMEA Semi-Finals next weekend in Lexington for the chance to compete the same night at the Finals Competition!

Panther Band competed against nine other 2A bands, including the top three placing bands--Trigg County, Hancock County and Glasgow. The top six bands from each class advanced onto the semifinals.

Congratulations Panther Band, Colorguard and Prop Team! You all have worked so hard to get to this point. Good luck next weekend!

A special thank you goes out to the RHS Cheerleaders and staff that showed up to support our Panther Band. Our fan section sure was loud!

Panther Band Boosters would like to thank Director Trevor Wayne Cardwell and Co-Director Brian Elliott as well as the entire Panther Band staff, parents and volunteers for pouring so much effort into this group of kids. One Band. One Sound. One Family.

And, of course, a huge thank you to Russellville Independent Schools, awesome Principal Rex Booth and the entire Russellville Community for your continued support and love.

This competition just may be the most important to these kids. Making it this far is something they are absolutely proud of!
