Officer Robert Bubacz was awarded the Kentucky School Resource Officer of 2011 at the end of school assembly at Logan County High School, where he has
served as SRO since 1999. Presenting the award was Alissa Todd, vice principal of the high school.
Officer Bubacz received the Region I SRO award earlier in the year, and the appropriate paper work was forwarded to the state for consideration of this
award. Letters of commendation were written by the administration, superintendent, and county judge.
Simply stated, Officer Bubacz is a guiding force in creating a positive and safe climate of Logan County High School. hrough his character and demeanor
as well as classroom presentations at the school, students and faculty know him to be a compassionate as well as a determined individual. A driving
force in his work with classrooms and individuals is that an ounce of prevention to alleviate problems is better than having to clean up after a
situation. His discussions about legal issues as well as practical life skills have enabled students to make more positive decisions about their
behavior. Logan County has minimal incidents simply because of his presence and interaction with students.
The school is fortunate to have Officer Bubacz on the team helping give young people direction in life. He knows that strong law-abiding students
mature into strong citizens in our State.
Officer Bubacz resides in Russellville with his wife Scottie.
