The local SAR Chapter would like to invite those who love history to our first Lecture Series Program at the Logan CTC new building on Hwy 68/80 East on LCHS Campus on Thursday, Jan. 10. Doors open at 5:30 pm, Program begins at 6 p.m.
State SAR President Geoff Baggett, Baptist minister and history author, will speak about Fort Jefferson and its role in the American Revolutionary War. One of the Logan Chapter's goals along with honoring Revolutionary War patriots is to help to educate the public about the important history of our country's past.
There is no admission charge. Chapter leaders hope to have one presentation per month for the next three to four months. An author and retired high school history teacher will speak on Feb. 7.
