She succeeds Rex Booth, who resigned as counselor and head boys basketball and golf coach to accept a principal’s position in his native Edmonson County.

The former Elizabeth Hurt, Mrs. Dye is the daughter of four highly successful educators, Gayle and Greg Howard and Mike and Janet Hurt.

After graduating from Logan County High School, she attended Western Kentucky University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education and a Master’s Degree in School Counseling K-12.

Mrs. Dye has lived in Logan County most of her life, and she stated as she begins her second year in the Russellville Independent School District that she loves her community and feels thankful for the opportunity to work with the students and staff here.
