Rob Beasley, a Logan Countian who has been a highly popular radio personality in Bowling Green and beyond is very ill, but has shown some improvement today, reports his wife, Logan County/Auburn music teacher Mandy Pickett Beasley. Known on the air as Maxwell P. Murphy, Beasley has been hospitalized throughout April with complications from COVID that have put many of his organs and bodily functions in jeopardy.

Mrs. Beasley reported Thursday night, “It’s been a good day. This morning Rob started moving his feet. I’ve let him listen to a variety of music he enjoys today and jazz sax features seem to make him move the most. Occasionally he moves his hands. Still waiting for him to open his eyes or respond when asked to squeeze a hand, etc. The infectious disease doctor delivered the wonderful news that all of the infection is gone!

“He had an EEG that we haven’t heard results from yet. He also had dialysis.

“There were some big steps today! He still has quite a journey ahead of him. Please continue to pray over his lungs, kidneys, brain activity, and overall healing. Prayers are powerful! I see proof in these dancing feet!”
