State funding approved toward Logan IDA /LEADspec building

Gov. Andy Beshear has announced more than $15 million in state funding going to support job growth and economic development across 13 counties.

One of those counties is Logan. Logan Fiscal Court, on behalf of the Logan Industrial Development Authority Inc. (IDA) seeks to construct a speculative building with an expansion pad at the Shelton Lane Industrial Park. The state will provide $2 million for the over $7.7 million site-upgrade project.

Shelton Lane is in West Russellville with the entrance near Domino’s pizza. It connects with North Main via Carpenter Co.

The latest round of funding was approved through the Kentucky Product Development Initiative (KPDI) and including local matching funds more than $35 million is being invested across the commonwealth.

Site and building development projects in Clark, Clinton, Graves, Green, LaRue, Laurel, Montgomery, Nelson, Pulaski, Scott, Wayne and Webster counties in addition to Logan are the newest approvals for the second round of the program.
