Three generous events are scheduled Thursday to help Russellville and Logan County families with school-age children to be ready for school to begin with limited costs. They are as follows:
Back to School Clothing: For families in the Logan County and Russellville School System; cost is 25 cents per item, cash only; sponsored by Logan County Homemakers and FRYSC’ Logan County Extension Office, 9-11 a.m.
Back to School Bash: Free for Russellville and Logan County students; free school supplies, games, resources, haircuts, inflatables and more; food trucks available; sponsored by FRYSC and community partners; Logan County Extension Office, 3-5:30
Free Haircut Day: Celebrate Recovery is partnering with local hairstylists to offer a free haircut to all school age children; first come, first served, no appointment necessary; Volunteer hairstylists are Mikki Hayden, Natalie Payne, Ashlie Maddox-Miller, Jessica Owens and Shalelle Stafford; Lewisburg Community Fellowship. 197 North Second Street, 3-6 p.m.
