LCCTC students pile up certifications and awards

Students learning skills and proficiencies at the Logan County Career & Technical Center this year have abounded. The following are recognitions of as many of these accomplishments as The LoJo was able to accumulate:

*A pair of LCCTC students won the gold at state Job Skills competition. Owen Akins and Kyle Mooser will now go to nationals in June.

*Earning trips to State Kentucky FBLA State Conference in Louisville by their performances at region were:

Berenice Calles-Xum: 1st in Business Communications

Adaya Haycraft: 1st in Community Service Project

Ryann Johnson, Chapter President: 1st in Largest Chapter Increase

Brie Fox & Jae’da Poindexter: 2nd in Visual Design

Heer Patel: 2nd in Impromptu Speaking

Alan Pacheco-Alvarez: 3rd in Graphic Design

*Earning certification in ASE (American Service Excellence) Light Maintenance Repair were:

Evan Badgett, Madden Bloodworth, Trey Borders, Kyleigh Cuthbertson,  Josh Deason, Collin Dilliha, Dylan Duncan, Alexander Epley, Jordan Gasperoni, Keaston Hutchison, Mitchel Lindsay, Robin McCutcheon, Steve Outland, Manuel Ruiz, Shandon Sullivan,

*LCCTC Students received their certification in NIMS Level 1 for Measurements, Materials and Safety. NIMS stands for National Institute of Manufacturing Skills. Recipients were:

*Earning Foundational Certification in Health Carre through a Knowledge-Based Written Assessment verified by NOCTI’s nationally accredited process were the following:

*The Tech Ready Apprentices for Careers in Kentucky (TRACK) youth apprenticeship program is a partnership between the Kentucky Department of Education's Office of Career and Technical Education and the Kentucky Office of Apprenticeship to provide secondary students with career pathway opportunities into Registered Apprenticeship programs.

TRACK is a business and industry driven program designed to create a pipeline for students to enter post-secondary apprenticeship training. We are super proud of these students for receiving their TRACK certificates this year.

Those earning certification recently have been the following:

Mannie Clayton, Eli Poore, Jordan Gasperoni, Michael Hammonds, Logan Rice, Christa Simpson, Ezra Stratton, Liam Turner.

Tech Ready Apprentices for Careers in Kentucky (TRACK) youth apprenticeship program is a partnership between the Kentucky Department of Education's Office of Career and Technical Education and the Kentucky Office of Apprenticeship to provide secondary students with career pathway opportunities into Registered Apprenticeship programs.

*Those earning Carpentry-Construction Pre-Apprenticeship certificates were:

Mannie Clayton, Eli Poore, Jordan Gasperoni, Michael Hammonds, Logan Rice, Christa Simpson, Elisheva (Rian) Ruuska, Ezra Stratton, Liam Turner.

*These students on receiving their A.S.K. Business Institute certificate of Advanced Learning and Knowledge:

Chailyn Donnelly, Brieyia Fox, Caleb Fulkerson, Dayton Hurt, Ryann Johnson, Yajaira Lopez, Delaney McCall, Karmyn McDowell, Yazaira Salazar, Hunter Stigall, Avery Thompson, Chloe Walker, Addi West.

*Certification in Emerging Technician-Electrical as verified by AMTEC’s national industry validated skills standards certification was earned by two students, Jose Anastacio Baltazar and Alistair Mallory.

*A formal signing ceremony was held when Automotive students Mitchel Lindsay and Kaleb Foster agreed to use their skills working for Hunt Ford Auto.

*Certificates of Skill Attainment went to the following:

Digital Design and Game Development: Maysa Long, Lillian Noffsinger, Christian Scarbrough, Josiah Tucket

Business Management: Alan Pacheco Alvarez, Landon Bibb, Jerius Coleman, Ryann Johnson, Avery Thompson, Chloe Walker

Administrative Support: Mason Noe, Heer Patel,

Network Administration: Andrew Russell, James Scruggs, Riley Shepherd, Hunter Stigall

*These LCCTC students received their OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) 10 Industry Certifications:
