Weave your dreams into reality! Learn How to Make a Dream Catcher in 5 sessions! This program will teach you the basics of making a dream catcher. Join Anishinaabe Kwe artist and enrolled tribal member Mandi to discuss the origins of the dream catcher, its significance, and try out the fundamentals while weaving your own dream catchers! All necessary materials will be provided including hoops, weaving string, and a variety of beads and finishes. Beginner friendly. The fee is $15 per class. You are able to come to one or all. In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won’t have to take private lessons to do it! This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. Since this class is being held online with zoom, you will be able to sit at home with your guitar and take this class without any pressure at all. And since the class includes an online book and online follow-up video lessons, you will be able to continue your practice and study on your own. A very practical presentation of music theory that includes predicting chord progressions, learning from recordings, and transposing-all expressed in everyday language. This is an ideal follow-up to the “Instant Piano” class and is open to anyone who has a basic understanding of chords on any instrument. Learn General Aviation and How to Become a Pilot in 5 sessions! This program will teach you the basics of Aviation. Classes will begin Tuesday, Oct. 13, and will continue through each Tuesday until Nov. 10. Will be held at the Russellville-Logan County Airport from 6-7:30pm. The instructor is Robert Mclellan, a Licensed Private Pilot. The cost will be $60 for 5 classes. Sessions will include Communication, Navigation, Airplane Construction, Pre-flight Procedures, and Flight Planning. Additional information will be given on the steps required to begin your journey to become a pilot. (Actual airplanes will be involved.) So, bring your dream of flight, it might just take off!
