Construction is nearly complete and First Southern National Bank plans to open its new Bethel Branch on Monday, Oct. 21. The new facility, located at 88 South Bethel Street in Russellville, is on property adjoining the bank’s existing Bethel branch.
“We love this town and the people we serve, and we’re look forward to welcoming everyone to our new branch,” said Alex Keltner, Executive Vice President and Community President for First Southern National Bank. “Over time, we simply outgrew our existing facility. Our team is excited to open a branch that will enable us to welcome and serve more people.”
The bank will host an Open House for customers and members of the community on Saturday, Oct. 19, prior to its grand opening on the following Monday. A week-long grand opening celebration will take place November 4-8, which will conclude with a customer appreciation cookout on Friday, Nov. 8.
First Southern has 18 branches in central, south central and western Kentucky, and the bank’s Bethel branch processes more transactions than any other. Construction on the new full-service retail banking office began in November 2012. The new facility includes a full-service lobby featuring loan and deposit personnel, four drive-thru lanes and an ATM.
The existing Bethel branch, located at 104 South Bethel Street, will permanently close at noon on Saturday, Oct. 19. The bank will also permanently close the drive-thru lanes located behind the Main Street branch at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18. The bank has plans to utilize the old Bethel branch location as office space and will maintain its Main Street branch.
First Southern’s Bethel branch, will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. – noon. The bank phone number will remain 270-726-5650.
