Freeland Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Russellville will host a Test Drive Event on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m.–7 p.m. that will benefit the Logan County FFA.

General Manage  Nick Rice explains that Ram has offered to donate $20 for every test drive of a Ram truck to the local FFA chapter associated with the dealership. As part of the contest, Freeland CDJR has agreed to cover half of the costs with Ram in order to reach the dealership and Logan County FFA’s goal of 500 test drives, raising a total of $10,000.

“Across the nation, Ram selected 150 dealerships to compete in this event,” said Rice. “The top five dealerships with the most test drives will win a free Easton Corbin concert on site at the dealership.”

Bryan Estes, FFA Faculty Advisor at Logan County High School, said he’s extremely excited about this partnership. “We’ve now been given the opportunity the raise a large sum of money that will benefit the Chapter in a multitude of ways,” said Estes. “We’re very excited for this event and grateful to be the participating chapter with Ram and Freeland CDJR.”

Estes said the funds raised by the event will go to the purchase of a concession trailer, Alumni Senior

Scholarships and the Logan County FFA Chapter.  The FFA will also be providing free lunch to the first 500 test drives of the day.

Freeland CDJR will have entertainment on site, food cooking on the grill, music by WRUS and DJ entertainment by Clay Bilyeu.

“It’s going to be a fun day on the lot and it’ll all go to a great cause,” said Rice. “I really want to blow these other dealerships out of the water. I want us to raise the most money for our FFA and be able to bring Easton Corbin to Russellville.

“All people have to do is come to the dealership, fill out a form to take a test drive and drive with one of our friendly employees – it’s that simple.”
