Over 40 students with Logan County addresses were among the almost 500 graduates of Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) at the College’s Commencement Ceremony, Friday, May 16. The ceremony was held at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center (SKYPAC).
"We honor each of our graduates for the hard work they have put forth to achieve their educational goals. We also pay tribute to the family and friends for the great support they give to the graduates," said President Phillip Neal.
Many of these graduates started the school when it was still known as Bowling Green Technical College. The name was changed to reflect the widespread area the college serves and to emphasize that a major focus of the school now is awarding associate of arts and associate of science degrees along with technical certification. The name also acknowledges that students can complete most of their general education courses in smaller classes and at far less cost than at most four-year colleges.
