The Stevenson Elementary Family Resource Center will once again partner with local agencies to provide a family event in celebration of "National Family Day - A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Family" on Monday, Sept. 22. This year's event will offer a sit down dinner in the SES cafeteria, with the meal partially sponsored by The Olive Garden of Bowling Green. In addition to Olive Garden spaghetti and salad, students and families will also be served bread sticks, dessert, and drinks, all free of charge.

Reservations for the event are required, and seating will be limited to those making reservations by Thursday, Sept. 18. Informational flyers with reservation requests were sent home with students on Monday, Sept. 15. Families may request a 5:00-5:45 p.m. seating or a 6:15-7:00 p.m. seating. Reservation requests will be processed as received, so please do not delay in returning your request to school in order to reserve a spot at the desired seating time.

National Family Day is based on research that consistently finds that, the more often children eat dinner with their families, the less likely they are to smoke, drink, or use illegal drugs. This year's event is being sponsored by the SES Family Resource Center, Russellville Independent Schools, Butler-Logan-Simpson ASAP, Logan County Faith & Family Coalition, and the Olive Garden of Bowling Green.
