Recently, Adairville School became the first school in the state of Kentucky to be recognized as a School to Watch for a fifth term. School to Watch is a national program run through the United States Department of Education led by The National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform and is aimed at recognizing schools that are well on their way to meeting the Forum's criteria for high performance.
In order for schools to achieve the designation as a School to Watch, they must meet four criteria: Academic Excellence, Developmental Responsiveness, Social Equality, and Organizational Structures and Processes.
Adairville School’s fourth reaccreditation and fifth overall recognition places the school as the flagship for the program across the state as well as in the Southeastern portion of the country. Adairville first achieved School to Watch status in 2004, and then was reaccredited in 2007, 2010, and 2013. The school’s forth reaccreditation this November came after the school submitted extensive evidence of its excellence in academics and culture as well as welcoming professional evaluators into the building to observe, interview, and gauge the school as a whole in real time.

The recognition for academic and cultural excellence is a testament to the hard work of the teachers, students, and community that make up the Adairville School and serves as yet another reminder of the high levels of expectations for success that have driven Adairville since the school opened its doors.
