Road work to affect Logan and its neighbors

Logan County Russellville Southern Bypass – Grade work will continue on U.S. 431.  Motorists should anticipate a one lane road controlled by flaggers, and crews to be working near the shoulder of U.S. 431.

 KY 79 Morgantown Road (MP 1.460 to 3.999) – Shoulder work will be taking place. Motorists should anticipate construction equipment and workers near the shoulder and potential one lane roadways controlled by flaggers.

Natcher Parkway

 

 Lane closures are in place between the I-65 interchange and exit 9. Shoulder work is being done prior to the resurfacing of the roadway. The project is expected to be completed at the end of August. The speed limit has been lowered to 55 mph until the project is complete.

 

Butler County

KY 79 Russellville Road (MP 7.315-12.519)- Maintenance crews may have one lane closed at times in this section. This closure allows crews to perform drainage and shoulder work. Motorists should use caution through this area and expect short delays.

KY 106 Huntsville-Quality Road (MP 0.000-9.875)- Maintenance crews may  have one lane closed at times in this section. This closure allows crews to perform drainage and shoulder work. Motorists should use caution through this area and expect short delays.

 KY 79 Russellville Road (MP 6.566 to 7.210) – Crews will begin grade and drain work. Motorists should anticipate work near the shoulder of the roadway and a one lane roadway to be controlled by flaggers.

Todd County

KY 181 (MP 0 to 8)- Maintenance crews will be doing some drainage work along this section of roadway. Motorists should expect one lane closed at times during this project.

KY 475 Tress Shop Road (MP 0.00 - 8.176) – Grade and drain operations will continue at various spots throughout this section of roadway. Motorists should anticipate a one lane road controlled by flaggers.

KY 181 North Main Street (MP 12.02 - 12.293) – Crews will be performing work throughout this section of roadway. Motorists should anticipate a one lane road controlled by flaggers.

KY 181 Greenville Road (MP 15.70 - 17.212) – Crews will be working near the shoulder to extend culverts.  Motorists should anticipate shoulder closures and a one lane roadway controlled by flaggers.

KY 181 Guthrie Road (MP 0.00 to 7.67) – Crews will begin asphalt milling operations in preparation of the roadway being resurfaced. Motorists should anticipate a one lane roadway controlled by flaggers.

Simpson County

U.S. 31-W- Crews will continue to move utilities at Peden Mill Road. All utility work will be done off the roadway and should have no impact to motorist traveling through the area.  Roadway construction on U.S. 31-W will continue. Crews and flaggers will be present as excavation and diversion construction continues on the project.

Access to U.S. 31-W from Macedonia Road is closed. A detour will be posted to allow motorist access to U.S. 31-W from Macedonia Road using Macedonia Spur Road. The closure is expected to last 90 days. 

KY 100 Scottsville Road (MP 13.5-16.4) - Contractors have resumed work on a project that will reconstruct and widen KY 100 from I-65 to KY 622.  As weather permits, heavy construction equipment will be crossing KY 100 as earthwork operations begin.  Traffic will be maintained with flagging operations during this work. Motorists should be prepared for occasional delays due to the flagging operations.

Warren County 

 U.S. 231/Ken Bale Boulevard- Crews are expected to be paving the new turn lane Monday at 7 p.m.

 I-65 to U.S. 31-W Connector- Crews are putting the finishing touches on Phase I, which is from I-65 to U.S. 68. Phase I is expected to be open in early July.
