The Logan County Humane Society is sponsoring a Candidate Forum on Friday, April 27 at the Historic Logan County Courthouse.
Candidates for Logan County offices should bring their own table and chairs if desired, no larger than card table sized, for a meet and greet to be set up downstairs from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Spaces will be first come. During this time, the citizens of Logan County will have the opportunity to submit anonymous questions to the candidates for each contested office.
“We realize not everyone will be able to attend this event, and if you can’t but you have a question you would like to submit to the candidates of a contested office, the boxes for each office have been dropped off at the Logan County Tourism Office inside the Historic Logan County Courthouse,” the Humane Society says. “For everyone able to attend, questions can be submitted the afternoon/evening of the 27th! Remember, all questions will be anonymous!”
The Logan County Humane Society will be selling hot dog plates for $5.
At 6:30 p.m., the Candidate Forum will begin upstairs. The order of the candidates will be randomly drawn from within each contested office. Each candidate will be given 60 seconds to introduce themselves. Questions will then be drawn and asked to each candidate.
If the technology cooperates, this will be live-streamed.
The Humane Society has announced, “We are pleased to announce the following candidates will be in attendance. Letters have been mailed to any candidates that have not yet contacted the Board. This list will be updated as we hear from additional candidates.”
