Lewisburg School held graduation Friday, May 25, at 6 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Fifty-three eighth grade students were recognized as graduates.
The following students were recognized for outstanding achievement in academics during the 2017-2018 school year: Kelly Price (Reading); Ilana Duncan (Writing); Monica Yates (Science); Cade Johnson (Social Studies); Brooke Jenkins (Math); and Madison Forrest (Algebra).
Courtney Lawson and Justin Bobbett were presented the 110% Awards, and Kaylan Vaughn and Brian Utley received the Citizenship Awards. Ilana Duncan was also recognized for having perfect attendance for two years.
The Middle School Academic Excellence Awards were awarded to the following students for maintaining the highest averages throughout middle school in the four core subject areas: Monica Yates (Science, Social Studies, Math) and Kelly Price (Language Arts).
Monica Yates was also recognized for maintaining the highest overall grade point average for all three middle school years.
Kelly Price received the award for maintaining the second-highest overall grade point average throughout middle school.
