Logan County endured a marathon evening of delays last week and sent several to this week’s KHSAA State Track and Field Championships in Lexington.

Senior Meredith Johnson became a Regional Champion  in the 400M dash with her stunning win by just .01 seconds.

Junior Tanner Morrow crushed the school record in the 800M run and finished second, running third fastest time in the state. Morrow’s time of 1:58.79 bests the old mark of Sye Head's 2:00.6.

Morrow is also a part of the state bound 4 X 400M Relay with Reggie Powell, Evan Hughes, Gage Cousineau, as they finished second behind Bowling Green. “These young men dropped over seven seconds off their time and almost pulled off the upset over the powerful Purples. An incredible performance to say the least,” Coach Greg Howard said.

“All of our runners worked hard during the season and regional was a testament to their courage and commitment to training.”
