The Logan County Lady Cougar Varsity Tennis team got three victories in three matches last week to start the season.
On Thursday night the Lady Cougars defeated regional foe Franklin-Simpson with Camden Williams leading the team to victory. Then on Saturday morning the Lady Cougars hosted the Third Region’s Muhlenberg County Mustangs and the Second Region’s Madisonville North Hopkins Maroons.
In the first match coach Jeff Noffsinger’s team was victorious 3-2 in the 5-point match with Williams getting a singles win while the Lauren Barnes-Kara Noffsinger team got a doubles win along with the Ellie Sandlin-Elizabeth McGinnis team notching the second doubles victory to seal the match and get the win.
In the afternoon match Logan's Williams and Bingham notched two singles victories while Barnes-Noffsinger got a doubles win to get the 3-2 victory over the Maroons.
The Cougar Tennis boys and girls teams are in action this afternoon at LCHS in the Clash of the Cats, hosting crosstown rival Russellville. First serve will be at approximately 3:45
