Cougars Oliver, Coursey and Rayno qualify for state AAA track

Both teams competed at the KHSAA Region 2 Class AAA Championships last Saturday at Greenwood. The Cougars walked away scoring points in both divisions and having three young men qualifying for the KHSAA State Championships on Saturday, June 12, at the University of Kentucky's track.

                                                       STATE QUALIFIERS

Jonah Oliver - Region Champion in the discus with a throw of 130'-1". Jonah most likely will also qualify in the shot put after his throw of 42'-2.5" earned him 3rd place.

Neil Coursey - Region Runner-up in the Shot Put with a throw of 42'-6.25". Neil also finished in 7th place in the discus (105'-00)

Ryan Rayno - Region Runner-up in the High Jump 5'-10"

Coach Greg Howard says, “Another great day with lots of great performances by our runners. They are miles ahead of where they were at the beginning of the year. A great group of kids giving all they have on the track.”
