Here is another instant update of more action and success for our LCS teams (with reports from coaches).

Girls Soccer - Logan County Girls Soccer earned its fifth win in a row (excluding Covid cancellations) Tuesday night at Franklin-Simpson. The Lady Cougars are 3-0 in District play. Logan County dominated both sides of the ball to cruise to a 7-0 win. Kadyn Costello scored three goals, Campbell Hamilton scored two and Elizabeth Phelps and Addie Corder each added one.

The defense was stellar again, limiting the Lady Wildcats to very few shots on goal. Carli Jo Bruner, Ella Moore, Cristin Law, Calista Petrie, Emma Allen and Linnea Pitts anchored the back line for Logan County.

Middle School Softball - JV & V came out with a wn last night over Franklin-Simpson. Varsity finished the game in three innings with a 11-1 win! Annie Owen only faced 13 batters with 3 strikeouts and only allowed 2 hits. Sydney Newman led the team in hits and Carris Taylor led the team with 4 RBIs. The bats were hot from top to bottom last night.

We also had a strong D! First time this year we had zero errors on D! This win is the motivation we needed for our crosstown rivals, Russellville, on Thursday! Future is very bright for LC softball with the young team we have now!

Volleyball - JV and Varsity Volleyball finished the night against Franklin-Simpson last night winning in perfect sets. Our serving pressure was able to keep them out of system allowing us to be very aggressive in transition to score. We will face regional rival South Warren Spartans tomorrow where we will hopefully be able to extend our streak of wins.
