Following a great game earlier this fall, former Russellville Panther star Pedro Bradshaw seemed to be forgotten by the Salt Lake City Stars, the G League team that’s part of the Utah Jazz organization.

Soon after the Stars cut the 2017 Mr. Kentucky Basketball finalist, the Sioux Falls Skyforce of South Dakota signed him off waivers. He is now part of the Miami Heat organization.

The remainder of the Skyforce December schedule finds the team on the road. They will play two games in Detroit this week before going to Chicago and then heading to Santa Cruz, Calif. for a Dec. 29 game against the Warriors’ G League team.

Many of the Skyforce’s games will be televised on ESPN+, including Wednesday’s 6 p.m. game against the Pistons’ top developmental team.

Today’s Skyforce Press Release

“The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired guard Pedro Bradshaw off waivers. Kieran Hayward was waived in completing the transaction.

“After going undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft as an early entrant, Bradshaw, a 6-7, 180-pound guard out of Bellarmine, was the 10th pick in the second round for the Salt Lake City Stars in the 2021 NBA G League Draft. Bradshaw played in four games this season for the Stars.

“He averaged 8.25 points on 46.2-percent shooting, 2.75 rebounds and 1.25 assists in 16.0 minutes per game for Salt Lake City. Bradshaw posted a career-high 23 points on 9-14 FGA, five rebounds and four assists in 28.5 minutes against the Oklahoma City Blue on Nov. 7.

“Bradshaw redshirted at Belmont in 2017-18, before transferring to Eastern Kentucky in 2018-19. He posted 2.4 points on 41.7-percent shooting, 1.8 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 10 games. He then transferred to Bellarmine in 2019-20, averaging 9.21 points on 54.5-percent shooting, 5.25 rebounds and 1.89 assists in 28 games (24 starts). In his final year at Bellarmine in 2020-21, Bradshaw, who started in all 22 games, posted career-highs in points (15.95), rebounds (6.86) and assists (2.45).

“Bradshaw will be available for the road contest against the Motor City Cruise tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. CST and will wear #1 for the Skyforce.”
