Lady Cougars among playing for Class 2A state title this weekend
The Logan County Lady Cougars are scheduled to open Class 2A tournament play at 2 p.m. today against Christian Academy of Louisville at Jack Fisher Field in Owensboro.
If they win they will meet the winner of the Rowan County-Perry County Central game at 6:30 tonight. The survivor of that semifinal will move into Saturday’s state championship finals at 1:30 p.m.
A loss would send them to the consolation bracket against the Rowan-Perry loser at 5 p.m. today on Field 2. A win there would send them to a Saturday morning (10 a.m.) matchup for fifth place.
The other teams in the tournament are Lexington Catholic, Paducah Tilghman, Taylor County and Pike County Central.
All of these times are contingent on the rain which has been forecast, of course.
