The Russellville Lady Panthers opened district play Tuesday with a 9-6 win over Franklin-Simpson. Two home runs and a double helped the cause immensely.

* Jaeda Poindexter was 2 for 4 with a pair of RBIs and a homerun
* Rylee Grayson picked up the win in the circle.
* Kha’Mirah Hampton doubled and drove in two runs.
* Mariyah Meriweather singled twice, drove in a run and scored.
* Alexis Triplett singled and scored.
* Legna Taylor walked twice and scored both times.
* Addison Duncan, KK Davenport and Grayson each scored. Davenport walked twice.
* Grayson gave up eight hits but only one walked batter and only four of the runs were earned.
