Lady Panther softball wins 3 straight games

After blasting Monroe County in ah road game Friday, Coach Ryan Davenport’s Russellville Lady Panthers won a a pair of games many miles away on Saturday for a three-game win streak.

Lady Panthers 13, Lady Falcons 2

Aniyah Hampton had a monster offensive game, homering, singling and walking for six RBIs. KK Davenport and Rylee Grayson also singled and walked twice each, both getting an RBI. Davenport scored four runs and Grayson one.

Also getting hits w ere Kha’Mirah Hampton, Lexi Triplett, Ja’eda Poindexter and Legna Taylor Triplett walked twice with Chloe Penrod, Mariyah Merriweather and Addison Duncan each working a base on balls. Penrod, Triplett and Poindexter scored two runs each

Penrod was the starting and winning pitcher. She gave up two hits, no runs and no walks in five innings. Grayson hurled no run-no walk softball the final two innings.

Lady Panthers 6, Webster County 3

Penrod pitched a complete-game one-walk, two-hitter over the host team in this three-team showcase. She struck out six Webster batters.

Grayson tripled and singled, walked twice and scored three runs. Penrod drove in three runs. Davenport had two hits with Poindexter and Triplett adding one each.

Chloe Papineau pitched a complete game for Coach Jason Scott’s Lady Trojans, being credited with 11 strikeouts.

Lady Panthers 19, Fort Campbell 0

RHS only had one extra-base hit and just three walks, but Coach Ryan Davenport’s team scored 19 runs on their 15 hits.

Penrod drove in five runs on three hits and scored three runs. Davenport also had three hits; she drove in three runs and scored twice. Anyiah Hampton drove in two runs on a double and a single. Grayson singled and scored three runs. Kha’Mirah Hampton walked twice and scored both times.

Merriweather, Poindexter, and Taylor also scored twice.

Grayson was the starting pitcher, working two innings and striking out three on one hit and no runs. Aniyah Hampton not only pitched the final inning but she struck out two Lady Falcons.

Hayley Sitz, Shaelynn Cross and Kadence Lee also saw action in these games.
