Lady Cougars win first Clash 10-6

Haley Henson homered, singled, drove in four runs and scored two while Brenley Adler had four hits and an RBI while scoring twice to lead Logan County’s offense in a 10-6 win over Russellville Tuesday in the first softball Clash of the Lady Cats of the season.th

Addison Holloway was also strong at the plate with two hits and two runs.

Addison Cartas pitched the complete-game win. Only two of the six runs were earned. She gave up five hits and eight walks while striking out 12 Lady Panthers.

Also getting hits for Coach Gary Gettings’ team were Kallie Taylor, who doubled in a run, and Madelyn Burgess, Kinsley Taylor, Caris Taylor and Macie Clinard. Burgess, Kinsley Taylor and Clinard added an RBI. Also scoring runs were Reese Wetton, Burgess, and all three Taylors.

Eight of the nine Lady Cougars who batted got a hit. Eight of them scored at least one run.

Unfortunately, this is the only game this season that Russellville hasn’t reported individual statistics to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association.

The Lady Panthers got five hits and eight walks. Russellville pitching didn’t give up a walk.
