A Kentucky High School Athletic Association representative will be on the Russellville High School campus this Thursday to conduct a Title IX audit and revisit. Title IX is a federal program which mandates gender equity.
“The representative will be looking at all of our high school athletic programs and facilities,” says Athletic Director Calvin Head. “There will be an open session to public that day from 3-3:30 for anyone who would like to attend and ask questions.”
The itinerary for the day is as follows: 11 a.m.- Uniform review in the library; 11:30- Tour of the school and facilities; 1 p.m.- Athlete interviews in the library; 2- Gender Equity Committee Meeting; 3-3:30- Public Comment session (Open to the public to come and express any athletic concerns)
