Fresh off of one of the best seasons in college basketball history, the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team will be represented by three of its former standouts – Karl-Anthony Towns, Dakari Johnson and Trey Lyles – for a unique meet and greet opportunity at Bowling Green Ballpark on Thurs., April 23.

Presented by Lawton Insurance, the Hot Rods will make 30 limited VIP tickets available, which will include a ticket to the prestigious Corvette Club, the meet and greet session, an autographed basketball by all three players and a limited-edition UK colored Hot Rods hat.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for our fans to interact with a few of the best to ever play for Big Blue,” said Hot Rods general manager/COO Adam Nuse. “We are very grateful that this has become a reality.”

While those 30 fans will have unparalleled access to the former UK stars, all fans who purchase a ticket for that evening’s Thirsty Thursday contest against the Dayton Dragons—set for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch—will also have the opportunity to receive autographs from the trio during the game. The first 200 fans through the turnstiles that evening will receive a limited-edition UK colored Hot Rods hat courtesy Lawton Insurance.

“Partnering with the Hot Rods to make the most out of this event is a no-brainer,” said Ross Richey, president of Lawton Insurance. “This organization has gained national attention many times over for meeting the needs of its fans and this is another prime example of that.”

Towns, Johnson and Lyles will also be throwing out ceremonial first pitches.

Each Thirsty Thursday at Bowling Green Ballpark is presented by Mountain Dew, featuring 20 oz. Pepsi products for $2, $2 domestic drafts and 25 oz. cans for $3.
