With a sparkling stat sheet to his credit, Logan County High School senior Jordan Hendrix signed the papers recently to pitch collegiately for Lindsey Wilson College.

At the time of his signing, Hendrix had three career numbers to his credit that stand out dramatically. They were his 12-4 won-lost record, his 1.637 earned run average, and his 1.357 Walks + Hits per Inning Pitched.

Since then, he’s pitched another shutout.

On signing day, he had pitched in 22 games 14 of them as a starter. As a sophomore, he started four of the nine games in which he pitched and put together a 4-1 record. Last year, he started in 9 of his 11 appearances and went 7-3.

Over these three years, he has given up 44 runs, but just half of them were earned. In 94.1 innings, he has given up 90 hits and 38 walks while striking out 55 batters.

Hendrix has never given up more than three earned runs in a game, and in 22 games, he’s given up two or fewer runs 20 times.

The lefty threw five innings of one-hit ball against Barren County as a junior. Even though he walked six Trojans in that game, he didn’t allow a run. He beat Warren Central this season on a two-hitter.

Joining him in the signing at LCHS were his parents, Bryan and Teresa Hendrix, his brother Jaxon, and coaches Ethan Meguiar, Kyle Wall and Adam Decker.
