On Tuesday, Sept. 20, Russellville High School sophomore Sariana Allen received a plaque for winning the 2016 Kentucky Class A State championship in the 100 Meter Dash last spring.
Her plaque was presented to her by Principal Kim McDaniel and loyal Panther fan Don Firchow, who designed and hand-painted the plaque just for her.
It was an excellent year for RHS track in 2015-2016. Jaylin McMurry, who was then a junior, was named regional Class A Track Athlete of the Year, as well.
