The Regional NASP Archery Tournament took place Saturday at Logan County High School, and the home team made a great showing. The High School Archers won first place and are now ranked 18th going into the NASP State Championships.
NASP State Archery will take place March 31 and April 1 at the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center in Louisville.
The Lady Cougars swept the top places in the girls’ high school standings. In order they were Bethany Pearson, Paige Baldwin, Rhonda Reeves, Cori Taylor and Taylor Haley.
Also, teams and individuals from the elementary and middle schools in the county also performed well. Olmstead won its fifth straight regional middle school title, Auburn finished second among elementary schools, and Olmstead’s Brett Knifley won the middle school championship.
