A big, beautiful, 10-inning scoreboard has gone into place at the Logan County High School baseball field.

Athletic Director Greg Howard says he was approached about the possibility of erecting such a structure soon after he assumed that position in 2015 and that he has spent 18 months seeing it become a reality.

He credits Coach Ethan Meguiar and parent/middle school basketball coach Travis Hurt for playing a big role in making it happen.

We were able to garner enough sponsorship from supporters in the county and along with a hefty donation from Clark Distributing the project was secure. H & H Sheet Metal has been a vital partner in making sure this event became possible through sponsorship and lots of man hours,” Howard says. “A lot of community involvement has taken place to see that a venture of this magnitude has been completed.

Clark Distributing’s prime product—Coca-Cola—can be seen at the top of the sign.

Howard considers this venture to be historic and hopes it is the forerunner of great things in the future.

“It has been my first really large project since becoming the athletic director and quite an overwhelming and heartwarming project while working on this,” he says. We hope this is the first of many projects involving LCHS alumni and sponsors to further develop the facilities our students need to be successful and to show them what happens when we are a team.
